02 — Beyond the textbook
Politics and law make more sense when you see where they happen.
I teach students how to reason — not how to memorise a model answer.
Lessons are built around active discussion, retrieval, application and exam practice. We identify exactly where marks are being lost, then work on that weakness until the student can do it independently. The aim is not simply to know more by the end of a lesson, but to be noticeably better at using what you know.

I’m Callum, a Law & Politics student at the University of Manchester and an experienced one-to-one tutor. I’ve completed more than 600 lessons, helping students turn difficult content into clearer understanding and stronger exam performance.
My own experience of law and politics extends beyond university. I’ve gained experience in Parliament and legal settings and taken part in Model UN in New York. That means lessons can connect specifications to the institutions, arguments and decisions behind them — without losing sight of the exam.
