LNAT preparation built around reasoning, not shortcuts.
Learn how to read difficult passages efficiently, distinguish what is stated from what is implied, evaluate answer choices and build a clear argumentative essay under time pressure.
Focused support built around your course and assessment.
Passage Strategy
Read for structure, viewpoint, shifts in argument and the role of each paragraph without getting trapped in unnecessary detail.
Section A Reasoning
Inference, assumptions, flaws, main conclusions, argument structure, tone and the careful elimination of tempting answer choices.
Question Technique
Learn what different question stems are actually asking and how to justify why one option is better than the alternatives.
Section B Planning
Turn a broad prompt into a defensible position, choose useful arguments and counter-arguments, and plan quickly.
Section B Writing
Write focused introductions, analytical paragraphs and reasoned conclusions without relying on memorised content.
Timed Practice
Use realistic passages and essay prompts, review mistakes in detail and build a repeatable exam-day approach.
What a lesson actually looks like.
LNAT lessons are normally one hour. Early sessions diagnose how you currently read and reason, then we work through passages together before moving towards increasingly independent timed practice. For Section B, we focus on argument quality and clarity rather than trying to memorise model essays.
LNAT preparation informed by law study and extensive one-to-one tutoring experience.
I study LLB Law & Politics at the University of Manchester and tutor students who need to reason precisely, read critically and write persuasively. Those are the same core skills the LNAT is designed to test.
There are no magic tricks for the LNAT. My approach is to make your reasoning visible, identify recurring mistakes and practise until your method becomes quicker and more reliable.
Who this is for.
First-time applicants: build a method from the ground up before moving into timed work.
Retakers: diagnose what went wrong previously and rebuild weak areas systematically.
Section A focus: improve comprehension, inference and elimination under time pressure.
Section B focus: develop clearer arguments, stronger structure and more disciplined timed writing.
